Quitting everything for a while.
please may I be excused from life.
See you, homies.
my friend and I came to the conclusion that all the weird drunk nights we’ve each had, ones that involved a) someone crying b) kissing c) display of other intense emotions d) all of the above, were all connected to certain people regardless of the amount of alcohol we consumed that night. The only factor that decides whether things will get weird with alcohol solely depends on the person we were drinking with.
I miss those people already.
I made pesto spaghetti with spinach, feta cheese and prosciutto!!
there’s also wine ~fancy mofo~
I almost forgot how blue contact lenses with an extra layer of artificial iris to make your eyes look bigger used to be like, the biggest thing in east Asia, at least it was while I was still living there.
I wish I had noticed everything that was wrong with this.
The most beautiful girl in Mexico
In my journey through South Mexico, in a town locate in the middle of the Chiapas’ mountains I found the most brilliant eyes that I have ever seen. The beauty of this girl was similar to the panoramic views I was able to appreciate every time I turned around. She belongs to the Zoque ethnic who name themselves O’ deput, which means people of words. The particularity of this girl; besides her beauty is that she cannot speak or listen, the way to communicate with her was by signs. It is no mystery that the beauty of the true Mexican woman is way above all beauty contests.
It’s interesting that The Most Beautiful Girl In Mexico (also implied to being the “true Mexican” woman) is relatively fair-skinned & has blue eyes.
^This.
The picture description is so cringe-worthy I can’t even. Of course the girl who has qualities such as blue-eyes and light skin that are closest to the standards of a typical Western beauty would crown the most beautiful girl. In Mexico.
Well done, the internet.

I agree, but on the other hand, it seems everyone has more respect for people in the sciences. As illustrated by the “Ohh, an art degree eh? Whatcha gonna do with that? *skeptical expression*” We all lose!
Yup, there are a lot of people like that and they are always annoying. :/ I think the biggest problem is, there’s so much emphasis on getting a ‘useful’ degree; and that’s when some people get the idea that everything else is useless in their heads. But because (at least that’s the case at McGill) the science faculty is mostly dominated by pre-med kids, so the degree of respect only extends so far to people who have plans in bringing their undergraduate degree into grad school. Academics in sciences don’t get more respect than people in arts really.
one thing that really bugs me about university (or western culture in general), is how it is somehow more socially acceptable to be passionate in the arts than in math/sciences.
I mean, won’t someone seem so much more cultured and interesting when you say you’re majoring in philosophy and English literature and your hobbies are making music and writing poetry? And one can’t even openly admit that they are passionate about, math and physics without coming off as those weird nerdy ‘geniuses’ who don’t know how to communicate with people on the most basic level.
Maybe it’s just the people I know, but the only person who reads academic journals on math and physics for fun and is very open about his hobby is my dad. I miss talking about science with my dad.
And the math prof I have right now just makes me so happy to be in class because it’s easy to tell that he genuinely loves what he teaches and is upfront about it. I always feel bad that a lot of people in hisclass are just kids who want to get their prerequisites out of the way.
If this was simply just a stereotype, then why does it seem so hard to admit to people that I enjoyed the calculus and was slightly upset that I’m done calculus for good in my life?
I wonder if anyone ever misses me. Like, just in general.
